From June 21th, the Gaîté Lyrique will be hosting Gaîté l'été, an open air summer fair, with free programming all summer long: DJ sets, dancing, skateboarding… all at the Gaîté Lyrique!
This year, the City of Paris has entrusted internationally renowned artists such as Claire Tancons, Mohammed El Khatib, Benjamin Millepied and Raymond Depardon to bring the Cultural Olympiad to life. Having already started in April, their task is to take over Parisian public spaces during festivities and events. In addition to these major unifying events, the City of Paris will be setting up festive sites in every arrondissement throughout the summer as part of the "Paris fête les Jeux" program. With event broadcasts, sports classes, shows and free entertainment, Parisians and visitors from all over the world will experience Parisian fervor.
From June 21st to September 8th on the Gaîté Lyrique forecourt, and August 1st, 6th and 8th at the Parc des Champions (Paris Sports Ball). This summer, the Gaîté Lyrique is moving outdoors, taking part in the capital's summer celebrations in the Paris Centre district, joining the Cultural Olympiad and the Paris 2024 Olympic Games festivities.
"Gaîté l'été" is a neighborhood friendly and lively event, with free programming all summer long. Following the success of the first one in 2023, Gaîté l'été is now getting into the spirit of the Games: mixing dance, skateboarding, cinema, music, environmental issues, communal spirit and festivities on its terrace and in the Square Émile Chautemps.
Scheduled events:
  • A series of DJ sets focused on "aperitif music"
  • Introductory dance club workshops (voguing, electro dance, waacking.)
  • Skateboard films and workshop festival
  • A series of talks on family and life
  • Three exceptional off-site dance balls at the Parc des Champions
