In April 2023, the City of Paris launched the first zero single-use plastic certification for businesses and professionals. The application process is completely free of charge.
Become a committed player
This certification enables accommodation providers - hotels, youth hostels, etc. - cultural establishments, restaurants and shopkeepers to demonstrate their commitment to reducing plastic waste, allowing them to make a collective contribution to transforming Paris.
To obtain this certificate, the company must sign a set of commitments towards its business sector. Seven different criteria must be met while companies can benefit to up to 12 months of counseling, free of charge, before being audited.
Benefit from a peerage network
Once a company has committed to the process, the City of Paris offers easy access to lists of solutions, expert advice and a network of peers. Once certification has been obtained, promotion tools can be employed via various media (conferences, webinars, newsletters, etc.).
150 businesses have already signed up, and are on track to achieve certification by summer 2024. Join the process in just a few clicks and benefit from a fast-tracked process to zero plastic!
