A duo of Phryges hats will represent the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games. Their mission: to get France and the French moving through sport.
With 620 days to go until the Olympic Games and 653 to go until the Paralympic Games, it's time to get to know the future mascots of Paris 2024. After months of training and preparation, here they are!
This duo, shaped like red Phrygian hats, are called "Les Phryges". "Convinced that sport can change everything, they invite us to join them in "revolution through sport".
The Olympic Phryge sports sneakers, while the Paralympic Phryge boasts a prosthesis on their right leg. With "tricolore" flags adorning the corners of their blue eyes, these two figures will symbolize the Paris 2024 Games. The mascots will be declined in all Olympic and Paralympic sports and will also symbolize the supporters.

The Phrygian cap, symbol of freedom

The Phrygian cap, a revolutionary emblem of the Republic and liberty, adorns Marianne in administrative edifices, municipal buildings, and on postage stamps.
The two mascots are themselves heroines of their fictional tribe, the Phryges, a people who accompany them. Thanks to "their ancestral experience, the Phryges know that a Revolution is something to be prepared for".
Their mission: "to get France and the French moving! For these two sportsmen and women share a conviction: "Sport can change everything! Our lives, our health, our relationships with others, our relationship with nature…". That's why they're demonstrating to "put more sport in our lives!"

Two mascots with two very different personalities

Two mascots for two characters. On the one hand, the Olympic Phrygia, " always thoughtful and a fine strategist ", she " only embarks on an adventure after carefully weighing up the pros and cons ". Like Olympic athletes, she knows the importance of measuring all options to achieve her goals.
On the other, the Paralympic Phrygian, who runs at full speed with her prosthetic running machine. "She hates being bored and loves trying out new things. Racket sports, speed sports, duo, team or solo, she's always up for it. "
With the spirit of a perfect supporter, she loves spreading the values of sport, celebrating athletes in every stadium and at every Games venue, and partying to celebrate victory or console defeat.
