Launched in November 2019, the "Education through Sport" scheme aims to put an end to school dropouts through sport by relying on clubs and associations. Find out which clubs were joined the scheme this year.
Part of the "Olympic Transformations" plan, the "Education through Sport" scheme has promoted educational success through sport in all Parisian territories with winners being announced every year since 2019. The aim is to put an end to school dropouts through sport, by relying on clubs and associations. Alongside families and schools, clubs provide access to places for learning civic values, commitment and respect for others. In some cases, they also offer support and mediation at school.
The three previous editions have contributed to the creation of constructive and close relationships between schools and clubs. Projects for the 2022/2023 school year have enabled just over 500 children from 28 schools, most of them in working-class neighborhoods, to follow a sporting path to educational success.
A fourth promotion of clubs has been supported throughout the 2023/2024 season.
