Several temporary competition venues have been set up by Paris 2024 in the heart of Paris to host the Olympic and Paralympic Games. Here's everything you need to know about their dismantling, although dates are subject to change as operations progress.
The Olympic and Paralympic Games have given pride of place to a number of emblematic sites in the capital to host the ceremonies and events. The security perimeters around these sites have now been deactivated and, following the model of the assembly of these temporary sites, their dismantling by Paris 2024 is currently taking place with a progressive phasing in order to free up the spaces as quickly as possible.
Here are the details of dismantling by site planned by Paris 2024

Dismantling details by site

Zone Concorde

  • From August 29 to October: gradual release of the right-of-way on Place de la Concorde, with partial reopening to traffic from early September:
  • August 29: Dismantling begins the day after the Paralympic opening ceremony.
  • September 13: reopening of Concorde station on line 12, originally scheduled for September 21 (lines 1 and 8 reopened on September 2).
  • Early October: release of the inner western part of the square, allowing two-way traffic on the vacated half-square.
  • End of October: there will be no more Paris 2024 installations. Additional restoration work is planned by the City to return the square to its original configuration.

Zone Trocadéro - Eiffel - Champ-de-Mars

  • Late July to October: gradual release of the right-of-way
  • August 31: liberation of the Trocadero gardens.
  • At the end of September, most of the Champ-de-Mars gardens will be freed up, and the City of Paris will gradually renovate the green spaces as part of the process.
  • Early October: dismantling of installations on the south side of Place du Trocadéro.
  • End of October: vacating of the Eiffel Tower stadium and the facilities surrounding the Champ-de-Mars Arena.

Zone Grand Palais - Pont Alexandre-III - Invalides

  • September to late October: gradual release of the right-of-way
  • Mid-September: liberation of the northern lawns of the Invalides.
  • Late September: liberation of the Pont Alexandre III and central traffic on the Esplanade des Invalides.
  • Mid-October: liberation of the western part of the esplanade des Invalides and the Cours la Reine lawns.
  • End of October: release of all areas of the esplanade des Invalides, followed by gradual renovation of green spaces by the City of Paris.

Metro and tramway

All stations have reopened, except Concorde station on line 12 until September 13.
