In April 2024, the Paris Tourist Office moved to 101, quai Jacques-Chirac (15th arrondissement). In addition to welcoming and informing visitors, it promotes Parisian tourism.
The Paris je t'aime - Office du tourisme is now just a stone's throw from the Eiffel Tower (7th). It includes a tourist information point, a store selling eco-friendly Parisian souvenirs, a café and an exceptional Olympic exhibition, "SPOT24", showcasing the new Olympic disciplines.
Thanks to its 132 museums, 2,222 historic monuments, 3 opera houses and 18,000 restaurants, 36.9 million tourists visited Paris in 2023. To help them find their way around, the 17 staff members of Paris je t'aime - Office de tourisme speak a dozen languages. They are ready for the peak number of visitors expected during the Olympic and Paralympic Games.
An increase in tourism during the Games
The Paris Tourism Barometer Special Paris 2024 Games reports that between the Olympic and Paralympic Games (August 12 to 27), international air arrivals are set to increase by 7.9% over 2023. This includes a 16% rise for North America with 108,000 arrivals and a 4.3% increase for Europe with 76,000 arrivals.
