Artist and dancer Juliette Baigné callsigraphies movements. Dance, kungfu or taekwondo: in this performance, she will invite an athlete to execute a series of movements that she will calligraph live.
The association Art sous X invites artist Juliette Baigné to present her Calligraphies de mouvements, a series of Indian ink paintings inspired by the movement of sport and dance.
Born of the encounter between Far Eastern calligraphy and the dance practiced by the artist, this series is a device for capturing movement.
Juliette Baigné is proposing two events based on this series at the Élisabeth sports center:
A 1/2-hour performance (dates specified in this article) with a dancer/athlete whose movements the artist will calligraph live.
A workshop in which the artist will teach you the tools and techniques of movement calligraphy. You can then experiment with the creative process of movement and calligraphy yourself(see dates on this page).
Exposition
From July 26 to September 08, a number of large-format movement calligraphies by Juliette Baigné can be seen outdoors at the Élisabeth stadium.
