Creation of a unique, perennial collective work in the form of a giant flag to highlight the diversity and richness of the world's cultures.
The World flagproject is both an artistic activity for all ages, and a unique, collaborative, permanent work of art. The work created will highlight the diversity and richness of the world's cultures through the drawing of a giant flag. The fresco will be placed on the two staircases of the Élisabeth stadium (14th arrondissement) and will remain there once finished, leaving the trace of a collective work with local residents and the public gathered at the Élisabeth sports center for the Games.

Passing on, sharing, creating together

World flag is proposed by the Colorway collective, led by Deborah Di fiore, illustrator and art director, and Mélanie Rondreux, illustrator and Montessori educator. For them, artistic practice represents moments apart, of captured truth and freedom, even stronger when shared with other artists, amateurs or children. These shared moments create a powerful sense of community. Their conviction is that collective creation and collaboration increase the value of a work of art.

How will the creation of World Flag proceed?

The mural is created in several stages. Colorway works on its own for the first two days, before inviting the public to join them in filling in the magic coloring pages.
