On August 11 at the Stade de France, the Paris 2024 Olympic Games will draw to a close in style. Scheduled from 9 pm to 11:30 pm, it will feature a grand artistic show directed by Thomas Jolly and will initiate the handover between Paris and Los Angeles. And there are plenty of surprises in store!
After an opening ceremony organized in a totally unprecedented way outside a stadium, the Paris 2024 Olympic Games are preparing to treat their exit in a - slightly more - traditional way: in France's largest sports stadium, the Stade de France (Saint-Denis).

What will happen at the closing ceremony?

The event will feature all the highlights of this type of Olympic ceremony: an athletes parade, a thank-you ceremony for volunteers, a medal ceremony… Then a grand artistic show, concocted by Thomas Jolly and his team (who directed the Opening Ceremony), will bring together some one hundred acrobats, performers, dancers and circus artists in a show entitled "Records".
The show offers an immersive journey through time, from the origins of the Games to a dystopian world that must be reinvented. Many surprises are in store, including the presence of world-renowned singers. The ceremony will conclude with a great moment: the passing of the Olympic flame to the host city of the next Olympic Games in 2028: Los Angeles.

Where to see the ceremony in bars in Paris

If you're not one of the 80,000 people who will experience this event (for which a few tickets are still available) from the stands of the Stade de France, nothing beats the unique atmosphere of a Parisian bar to experience this final highlight of the Olympic fortnight.
