Set-up for the opening ceremony of the Paralympic Games on August 28 is underway around the Champs-Elysées and Place de la Concorde, resulting in traffic and parking restrictions. Red and grey security perimeters will be set up on D-Day only, allowing access to the area only to authorized persons and on presentation of proof of identity. In addition, no Games Pass will be required to enter the area.
Since August 11, preparations for the opening ceremony of the Paralympic Games, which will take place in Paris on Wednesday August 28, have been underway around the Champs-Elysées and Place de la Concorde, with the event divided into three zones:
  1. The "Tampon" zone, located between the Champs-Elysées (Franklin Roosevelt) traffic circle and Place Clemenceau : this is the zone through which the athletes will arrive to start the parade. It is accessible only to organizers and athletes on the day of the ceremony.
  2. The free access zone, located at the bottom of the Champs Elysées between Place Clemenceau and Place de la Concorde: this is the area in which the athletes' parade will take place. Access is free to the general public on the day of the ceremony, without tickets or Games Pass, in exchange for a wristband given to each spectator and subject to availability.
  3. The Stade de la Concorde, located on Place de la Concorde : this is the area where the athletes' show and parade will take place. Accessible only to ticketed spectators on the day of the ceremony, the site has been in transition since the end of the Olympic Games, and is gradually being reconfigured to accommodate the event's grandstands.
