Volunteers will be stationed to welcome and support people with disabilities at the facility. These volunteers will also be mobilized to enhance the public's experience. In view of the specific needs of people with disabilities and wheelchair users, special areas will be set aside to guarantee visibility for this audience.

Drop-off/pick-up zones

Each area designed to accommodate disabled spectators will be served by a shuttle service provided by IDFM from the main Paris stations. These areas have been selected for their proximity and practicality, in order to facilitate the reception and movement of users, while taking safety constraints into account. People with walking difficulties can request mobility assistance with a wheelchair operated by a volunteer.

A dedicated entrance and reception point

A queue cutter system will be provided with an entrance and safety protocol adapted to disabled people.
Reception points will be set up at the entrances to each sector to welcome spectators with disabilities. Volunteers trained in welcoming and accompanying people with disabilities will be on hand to provide guidance, respond to requests and offer support. A magnetic loop will facilitate communication with people with impaired hearing. An accessibility register will be available at reception points, in various accessible formats.

Dedicated zones

Several areas will be set aside close to the screens to guarantee a view for people who are seated or of short stature. Volunteers will also be positioned in these areas to meet different needs. In these areas, each wheelchair user will be able to enter with an accompanying adult or family members.

Sanitary facilities

Two types of sanitary cabins will be installed in the different areas of the upper banks. Stand-alone sanitary cubicles will be installed along the entire length of the line, with a larger volume in the eight dedicated sectors. However, family & disabled cabins enabling electric wheelchair access will be deployed in each of the upper bank sectors.

Other services

Other types of services will also be set up, notably here:
  • Four magnetic loops will be installed in the Henri IV, Louvres, Invalides and Branly sectors;
  • Subtitling, "velotype" keyboards and sign language will be provided via the Paris 2024 audiovisual feed on all screens in the high-bay sectors.

Access to catering areas

In the absence of fully or partially lowered counters, each sales and distribution outlet will be equipped with a priority-ordering and product-retrieval area. Dedicated volunteers will also be on hand to assist those in need. Tables will be available close to the catering areas. Their use will be reserved for elders and disabled people only.
