To coincide with the Olympic and Paralympic Games, a decree has authorized Sunday shopping for retailers throughout Paris, from mid-June to mid-September. This grant will be applicable to seven different business sectors.
In anticipation of the exceptional influx of tourists during the Olympic and Paralympic Games, the Prefect of the Île-de-France Region - Prefect of Paris has decided to " extend the scope of the application of Sunday shopping to the whole of Paris " throughout the summer period.
All twenty Paris " arrondissements " are concerned by these temporary exemptions to Sunday rest during the period from June 15 to September 30, 2024, and at least 5 weeks before the date requested.
This grant applies to seven business sectors throughout Paris : groceries, sports and leisure stores, multi-store outlets, bicycle and motorcycle stores, department stores, clothing stores and stationery/bookshops.
